Last night we had the pleasure of participating in the YMCA's Chocolates Galore and More! at West Belmont Place at the National Conference Center.
It is an annual fundraiser for the Loudoun YMCA.
There were so many wonderful participants in the event last night.
Last year we won the Critic's Choice for Best Dessert Presentation and were anxious to defend our title.
Unfortunately we didn't win the competition but we did have a wonderful time and are always glad to participate in this event. |

| As previously discussed, there is so much more to a chocolate fountain company than simply supplying a fountain. After all, it's not really about a fountain, is it? |
| At Capitol Chocolate Fountains we don't think so. We're all about providing the best quality and service to our customers. In the first installment of A Fountain is a Fountain is a Fountain I wrote about our providing an Imported Belgian chocolate with all of our fountain rentals. |
| Today, we'll talk about our Tastings. We don't know of other companies that invite you to their office for a tasting. We encourage you to come to our office to have a private tasting. It's an opportunity for us to get to know you better and provide you with an opportunity to try our chocolate in a more relaxed atmosphere than a show. |
| We provide ample portions of our Belgian milk, semi sweet and white chocolate for you to taste along with a variety of dipping items. It's a great way to include your bridal party, parents, siblings and others in the decision-making process. In addition, we want you to see where we work. We like to refer to it as the place where the magic happens. |
Our tastings are free! They are by appointment. We are happy to meet with you in the evening, on Sunday or whenever your schedule permits!
And finally, we are firm believers in the un-sales pitch. Our products speak for themselves. You will never be asked to sign a contract or provide a deposit at a tasting. That's simply not us.
Our only requirement? Relax, sit back and enjoy the chocolate!! |

| The Fairfax Chocolate Lovers Festival which is usually held on the first full weekend in February has been postponed due to the impending snow. |

DId you go to the Bridal Showcase at the Expo Center yesterday?
If so, you got to see so many vendors, try so much cake, see some beautiful wedding fashions and more, more, more! The weather didn't stop many from attending! A very large crowd. |
We did something a little different yesterday for our booth at the show. We only displayed the base of the fountain.
Why, you ask?
Because a fountain is a fountain is a fountain! You've all seen them. They're tall and mesmorizing and you don't really get beyond the actual flowing fountain when you see it. You just want to dip something in it! |
But the truth is anybody can go out and buy a fountain.
It isn't about the fountain; it's ALL ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE! |
The people trying our chocolate yesterday immediately recognized a quality chocolate.
That's because our chocolate is Imported from Belgium.
We wanted people to taste the difference in our chocolate. Other companies don't feature an Imported Belgian Chocolate standard with all of their fountain rentals. |
